Cystine, Quant. 24 hr Urine

This test measures cystine excretion in urine over 24 hours to screen for cystinuria, a genetic condition where cystine crystals accumulate and can form kidney stones. It's also used to monitor cystine-lowering therapy in diagnosed patients or evaluate recurrent kidney stone formation.

Not particularly athlete-specific. Cystinuria risk is genetic, not training-dependent. However, athletes prone to dehydration or kidney stones may benefit from baseline screening, especially if experiencing recurrent stone episodes that could disrupt training.
