Adrenal & Stress Tests

Adrenal tests measure cortisol, the body's main stress hormone, and ACTH, the pituitary signal that drives it. Cortisol follows a daily rhythm, so a single morning value, an AM and PM pair and a 24-hour urine collection each answer a different question about how the axis is behaving. People order these for persistent fatigue, sleep disruption, unexplained weight change, or to see how a demanding training block or work period is affecting recovery. Timing of the draw matters and is noted on each test page.
